A sewage pump is used to evacuate sewage or waste water from any location below ground level. Because these locations are below the sewage line gravity cannot be used as is normal to move the sewage. Bathrooms and any other source of waste water below ground must be piped into a basin. Sewage pumps are installed inside the basin to eject the sewage into the sewer line.
